At Downeast Boxes we build custom humidors and other wood boxes entirely by hand. Our boxes are carefully hand crafted every step of the way in the great tradition of Maine coast woodworkers and boat builders. We use only locally milled and sustainably harvested organic Maine hardwoods (except for the Spanish cedar in our humidors) and no metal fasteners that can strip and loosen with time. Our products will last a lifetime and beyond. Every piece is cut, assembled, sanded and finished by hand. It takes about three weeks to produce one box. Our original designs are elegant but simple, created with utility in mind. Downeast Boxes are as rugged as the Maine coast itself, and as practical as the people who live here. And they are affordable.
Our guarantee: If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, send it back within 30 days and we will replace it or refund your money. If a Downeast box ever comes apart in normal use, we will fix it or replace it at no cost.
